Girls lacrosse: John Jay tops Yorktown, 14-11

Molly O'Reilly scored four goals and had one assist, and Sarah Lang and Lauren Murray each had three goals and two assists, as the John Jay girls lacrosse avenged an early-season one-goal loss to Yorktown with a 14-11 win over the Huskers on Wednesday at home.

John Jay (7-3) also got two goals from Jilli Schell and one goal each from Delaney Spencer and Kyley Gorman.

Spencer also had two assists, and Mary McAvey had one assist.

Clare Hogan made 12 saves in goal for the Indians. Yorktown (4-7) finished with a 23-18 edge in shots on goal. It was the fourth straight loss for the Huskers.
