The John Jay girls and boys lacrosse teams will host a playoff doubleheader on Tuesday at the John Jay Contest Field.

Both teams are number-one seeds in their respective Class B tournaments.

The John Jay girls (16-1) will play defending section champ Yorktown at 4:15 in the semifinals. The Huskers (12-5) are seeded fifth. The John Jay boys (15-1) play a quarterfinal game at 7 against ninth-seeded Hen Hud (10-7).

The girls team beat Tappan Zee last Friday night in the quarterfinals, 18-4. A win on Tuesday would put the Indians in the section title game on Thursday at 5 at Fox Lane High School.

The boys team, with a win on Tuesday, would host a semifinal game on Thursday.

In Friday's quarterfinal win, the John Jay girls were led by Casey Bocklet's eight goals, and two goals each from Sarah Lang, Mallory Grimm, Lauren Murray and Kylee Harris. Kelsey Davey and Christina Oddo also scored, while Harris and Grimm each had two assists. Bocklet, Murray and Davey also had assists.
